I don't find any mention of sacraments in the Bible. What are they?

Contrary to what some Christians think, sacraments are not man-made attempts to reach God. Rather, there are 7 sacraments (no more and no less) that were established by Jesus Christ and/or His Apostles under the guidance of the Holy Spirt (John 16:13) as sacred ceremonies by which Christ imparts His saving grace to those who receive the sacrament.

"Sacrament" is merely the name that was later given to these sacred ceremonies practiced and taught by Jesus and His Apostles. On this site in the "Sacraments" section, there are Bible quotes referring to each of the 7 sacred ceremonies called sacraments.
