Why? Because we're a bunch of hypocrites.
In reference to the remarkable article below, I ask all of us,
why can't a group of 27 U.S. religious leaders come together at the
White House, pray together, sing "God Bless America" and jointly reach
the conclusion that 'force is justified to protect the sanctity of life'
of the unborn innocent child.....in the womb of the mother about to murder
it. What in God's name is the difference between the war against terrorism
and the war against the unborn??
Today, if anyone dare compare publicly the similarity of the two wars,
that abortion is the greatest sin, that abortion is the 'greatest atrocity of
terrorism',we are pronounced extremists and admonished by most all and
prosecuted under the RICO law for gangsters.
If pro life armies use 'force,' such as blocking the doors of the abortion mills with
our bodies and our prayers to protect 5,000 U.S. babies a day from being 'punished
for deed they did not commit,' we're put in jail for years. What a bunch of
hypocrites we are. Why should God listen to our prayers? Woe to us.
. . . Cd. Law's comments below, "we have both
a moral right and a grave obligation as a nation to protect the sanctity of life
and the common good with force," could and should be applied, first, to the unborn.
Yet, our bishops warn their pro life flocks not to even carry posters
depicting the abortion child torn apart, not to speak or yell to the women walking
into the abortion mills, not to block the doors with our bodies, not to rush inside the
abortion mill and talk sense into the mothers waiting their turn to murder their child,
not to publish the names of the murderous abortion 'doctors,' not to picket in front
of the luxurious home of the abortion 'doctor,' not to speak out! Our religious leaders
and our law enforcers tell us to be silent. Why are there not enough good men and
women to see this? Because we don't have real leaders... Godly Catholic,
Protestant, Muslim, Buddhist, Hindu and Sikh religious leaders and real Godly
civic leaders. They talk a good talk, but they don't walk the walk. Woe to them.
There will never be any peace until the slaughter of the innocent is stopped. "We
have met the enemy, and He is us."

US RELIGIOUS LEADERS SAY FORCE JUSTIFIED TO PROTECT LIFE
WASHINGTON, DC, Sep 21, 01 (CWNews.com) - A group of 27 US
religious leaders at the White House on Thursday said using
force to eradicate terrorism is justified "to protect the
sanctity of life."
The leaders represented Catholics, Protestants, Muslims,
Buddhists, Hindus, Sikhs, and others and met with Bush for
more than hour, praying with him and singing "God Bless
America."
Cardinal Edward Egan of New York said, "We asked the
president and we asked the Lord to give us peace and
justice." He added, "We asked the Lord that we have our
people in this country unite and that no groups be punished
for deeds they did not commit; we also asked the Lord to
guide the president."
Cardinal Bernard Law of Boston, read aloud the statement
issued by the group. "Because these terrorist attacks were
global in their consequences, the president is correct in
seeking a coordinated, international response," he read.
"The common good has been threatened by these attacks, and
we have both a moral right and a grave obligation as a
nation to protect the sanctity of life and the common
good," the statement said. "We should respond not in the
spirit of aggression but as victims of aggression who must
act to prevent further atrocities of terrorism."
The statement made clear that America's response should be
tailored to avoid the further loss of innocent life.
